About The Poetry Society
The Poetry Society is a charity that exists to connect people of all ages to the transformative power of poetry. We rely on a mixture of public funds, income from trust and foundations, membership fees and donations in order to deliver a wide programme of activity that includes a huge amount of educational outreach work, publishing The Poetry Review, working directly with our members and Stanzas, running The Poetry Cafe and advocating for poets and poetry in public life.
National Poetry Competition 2022,The judges this year are Fiona Benson, David Constantine and Rachel Long, and they are looking forward to reading your submissions.
The Poetry Society are commissioning brand new writing resources from previous winners and judges of the competition to get you in the National Poetry Competition mood. These will be posted on The Poetry Society’s website throughout the duration of the competition – look out for mentions of them on social media and in e-bulletins.

National Poetry Competition 2022,The competition is open to anyone aged 18 or over at the time of entering. International entries are welcome.
The prize is mentorship from a leading poet, who will also judge the Award.
