The Alamo Colleges Foundation annually awards over $1.8 million dollars in scholarship funds.
SPC students are encouraged to submit one general scholarship application each academic year, and they are automatically considered for all Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarships and matched with eligible award opportunities. The application deadline is May 1, 2022.

Alamo Colleges Foundation About
Alamo Colleges Foundation was incorporated in 1984 by the Alamo Community College District as a separately incorporated charitable organization as defined under IRS regulations 501(c)(3) to serve as the philanthropic arm of the community college system.
The Foundation was established to develop the resources to empower for success the diverse students and communities serves by the five Alamo Colleges (San Antonio College, St. Philip’s College, Palo Alto College, Northwest Vista College and Northeast Lakeview College), increasing the District’s capacity for student success by raising charitable dollars for scholarships, programs and student success. In addition, Alamo Colleges Foundation annually administers approximately 300 endowed and non-endowed scholarships.

In 2018, The Alamo Colleges District became the first community college system to be awarded the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Four of our colleges have also been named Aspen Institutes Top 150 community colleges in the U.S. One is a finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.(san antonio community colleges)
SAC and KLRN-TV, the local PBS affiliate, are pleased to announce the Rosenda Rios Memorial Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship was created for SAC Radio-Television-Broadcast students in honor of the beloved television anchor/reporter. In addition to the monetary benefit, the scholarship also provides the recipient with a paid internship at KLRN-TV.

To increase the possibility of receiving a scholarship award, students should submit their completed applications before the deadline. Students are matched with eligible award opportunities throughout the entire academic year. Recipients will be notified through their ACES email and will have two weeks to accept their award.
